Hi all, total noob to Bronco IIs. Been out of wheeling for a while.
I just bought an '89 B2. Very clean, everything is in fantastic shape.
The vehicle is so well maintained...it has a new Ford OEM gas tank inlet hose and inlet housing. The new housing thread design has changed and the smog guy says he's seen this problem before on the older Fords??? He can not get the evaporative test equipment to attach properly.
So I'm supposed to go find an old original gas tank inlet housing, and use that for smog, or go see the "referee".
Any other Californians dealt with this.....just another bureaucratic fun fact. Any solutions besides a trip to the salvage yard and replace a new Ford part with a junk yard part?
