Hi. I did a search of the posts as well as looked at several of the pages under this heading and haven't found this particular issue stated. Therefore I am asking if someone can tell me why my '87 Bronco II with a D28 is making a grinding sound when I turn left. Is it the wheel bearings? is it the spindle bearing? Any help is appreciated. I haven't lifted the front end and checked for play in the wheel yet either. Just looking for possible reasons right now until I get get under the truck. Thank you

I think you are the right track. I had a full size Bronco that when the auto locking hub went bad it would grind when turning. After fixing that few times I went to manual hubs.
