stalling

I have an 1986 bronco ii also with the same problem, i'm going to test the tfi module as outlined in the tech section, the symptoms seems to be linked to it

I bet the TFI module is overheating...

When it stalls on you, stick your hand back there and if the TFI is wicked hott, that's probbaly the issue. Remove it and have it tested at vatozone, when putting it back on, make sure you use the grease between it and the distributor.

Also, pull the codes....

If you don't use the dielectric grease the tfi will self destruct due to overheating.

One of the first things you can do when things arn't going quite right get a can of electronic spray clean and dielectric gel and clean every conection you can find.
