How should i gear?

Right now i have stock axels and gears in my 86 bronco ii. however i just lifted it 4inch and put 33's 10.5 on it. Im curious what gears i should upgrade to to get better performance. thanks in advance to any tips or suggestions. also i dont think ill upgrade to the 8.8 or dana 35 front any time soon.

I would try to find some 4.10's. They came stock in some packages. Next best would be 3.73's. I'm not sure if aftermarket gears are still made for the d-28.

I agree, scour the junk yards for 4.10s. There is no aftermarket support for the D28 anymore, no gears, no lockers, etc. Gotta find someone getting rid of things to get that kind of stuff. I gave up and just did the D35/8.8 swap, finding D28 parts was a needle in a haystack (not to discourage you, just being honest about my experience).

Almost, you have to figure out the drive shafts, but otherwise, they pretty much bolt in.

i have 4.56s with 31s in mine in the rear (7.5) still stock gears up front til i swap to a d35 but it has decent power with this setup and doesnt feel like its falling over itself
