89 auto hubs to 87 manual hubs...

I pulled a set off at the boneyard last weekend, other than the actual hub lock that comes off after you remove the wheel, is there anything else I need to go back and get? Some websites suggest pulling the 87 hub nut, some say I need a conversion kit, while some say I've got everything I need.

Insight required.

Thanks!:icon_thumby:

The locknut system is different between the auto and manual hubs. There's a thing about it in the tech section. The manual hubs use two nuts with a locking washer in between, the autos use a cam-nut with a peg.

You need to go back and get all the hardware. The two (per side) 4-pin nuts and the little hole and tooth washer.

Those are the pieces that are in the "conversion kit".

Ok, thanks for the info. Is there any specialty sockets or tools I'll need? I read something about pulling a key with a magnet...
