whats an engine?
Yesterday after comming out of the airshow, i headed back home. I stopped by tacos hell and grabbed a bite. when i came out i noticed i had a rear shock just hanging there with no bolt or nut attached.:annoyed:
it's 5:30 autozone dosnt have anything and i have to be in elverta to pick up my brother. so i go to OSH. threy have grade 8s and 5s but not the size i need.
so i get a size 5 7/16 grade 5 coarse bolt, nut, and lockwasher. I ream the mount out to fit the bolt.
my question is will i be ok? the bolt has a shank on it, but it is a 7/16 shank. it is a nice fit, but should i ream out the mount bracket a little more so it has a little play with the bolt? the bolt went thru the shock mount eye real easy.
and damn it i forgot to put some grease on the bolt.
i also locktite the nut on the bolt so it "shouldnt" back off.
:icon_confused:

youll be fine. its just the shock. not like its a motor mount bolt or anything. just replace it whenever you can.
