Hello, I'm a new member of the forum. I'm workong on a project that I'm hoping some other people may have already taken on. I have an 89 Bronco II, with a blown 2.9 and the FN146 (I think) 5sp tranny. I have access to a 97 Ford Explorer 4.0L with a blown transfer case.
I want to strip out the 4.0L and the diffs from the Explorer, should I just cut the spring mounts right off the frame rails or should I keep my Bronco II suspension?
What do I need to take out of the Explorer for wiring?
Is it possible to just do a body swap and use my Bronco transfer case in the explorer?
Any information would be great, thank you
