so you're pretty much back to the old ex sport wheelbase :icon_thumby:i extended the front which brought me to 98 then just did the rear which broughtme to 103
just curious why you're wanting to ditch the b2 already? and an ext cab ranger? why do you want something that long? no criticism.. just interested!i would like to build either another sport, a extended cab ranger or if i found a replacement for my dd explorer i would build that. I figure the b2 will get parted and replaced in the spring sometime. maybe after mem. day next year.
i say an extended cab ranger, doesn't mean it would have the wheelbase of an extended cab ranger.......I may very well put a ext cab on this b2 frame in the long run.just curious why you're wanting to ditch the b2 already? and an ext cab ranger? why do you want something that long? no criticism.. just interested!
ah i see, makes sense if you dont use the backseat anyways :icon_thumby:i say an extended cab ranger, doesn't mean it would have the wheelbase of an extended cab ranger.......I may very well put a ext cab on this b2 frame in the long run.
Fenders?That thing has murdered fenders!
Wheel base is a funny thing. I have a 92" Bronco and a 123" BroncoStar and there is stuff they both excel at. In the past I shy ed away from anything over 100" but after wheeling in the 123" van I really like it better. Every one leaves there 100" or so ruts and they don't mess with me at all. Oh and hill climbs I dig the long wheel base. Don't get me wrong there are times it sucks too. I think a truck with a hydro adjustable frame and drive shaft would be cool. Maybe not worth it but cool.RBjust curious why you're wanting to ditch the b2 already? and an ext cab ranger? why do you want something that long? no criticism.. just interested!
Ah I see. I thought it was all custom machined pieces. I'm interested to see how it holds up.took the input from a tcase and machined it down, bored the tcase gear, pressed two pieces together, then drilled holes into both pieces and inserted the pins (not sure what pins they used but it was made at a machine shop so??) And the output is off a fm145 or 6???
