I was going to just do a sas and a 302 swap but the trany I'm useing bolted to A 460
So here is some of the pictures from start to present
The body comes off

Look how small of an area I had to work with
:lame:
So I started with a 1974 f100 4x4 frame that had be put together

Now Its time to mark and cut the frame

:no2:
The first check after the cut
:annoyed:
and a lot of work gettin it right

:temper:
We took the left over part of the frame and cut them to fit inside for strength

:icon_welder:
Startin to look better

:yahoo:
here is the first test fit

here is the test fit with the 38.5s

here it is all welded up

I am making a removable front clip to ease motor swaps and ect.I chopped the top off you know for head room.
Here is some pics of the drivetrain

.oh and just so you all know ......
I HAVE A BRONCO II WITH A BIG BLOCK IN IT :yahoo: :icon_welder: :icon_thumby:
A LOT MORE TO COME!!!!!!!:icon_bounceblue:

the BII was 36inchs and the f100 was 41 inches , I think . but all i did was cut the brackets off the bII frame set the body on the frame ,get the wheelbase right and then weld the mounts in place . you do have to cut a new hole right next to the old holes for the body mounts .

Wow! Lots of nice work there!

Keep the pictures comin for sure!

How long does it generally take to free a BII body from the frame? You've obviously got to undo the body mounts, brake lines, etc. What else is nessisary, and how long does it take to undo the nessisary wiring in the engine bay?

I'm curious because I'd like to take my BII to a buddies who has a lift, pull the body off, and sandblast the frame and then rhino line the frame and underside of the body to stop rust, and just generally make things look a bit cleaner.

Thanks, and keep up the sweet work regarding your BII!
