Transmission Fluid in Bronco II

So ive searched and not really found anything... the Bronco i just picked up has regular transmission fluid in it... is there any danger in draining all of it out i can get then putting the 80w90 its supposed to have in it? It is a 5spd

Depends on what transmission is in it.

If it's a M5OD... those use ATF.

Earlier FM an TK transmissions use gear lube.

If unsure of what you have... Core Shifter has some info to help you identify what you have.
