I have a 86 Bronco II with the automatic that has gone to crap. I need a list of compatible transmissions to replace it with. I found this list after doing a google search can someone tell me if it's correct? And if so are there any modifications that need to be done? Thanks, Paul

You are going to be pretty well limited to 85 to 94 Bronco IIs, Rangers, and Explorers if you want something that will bolt in and work.

But may I caution you to look through the Tech section, regarding replacing the auto. You may decide that another auto trans is just a wrong way to go. My own experience is that the auto is, ummm, shall we say, less than reliable. The A4LD problem thread at the head of the Tranny Forum section, is most illuminating. As always, YMMV, especially according to your experience.
