When it snowed a few days ago it totally soaked my front carpets. I sealed the cowl area and stopped water leaks into my cab earlier this year, I can hold a hose to the cowl and rails all day and not see a drop of water in inside. So i'm wondering if there is an area higher up within the cowl that built up snow could leak into? Somewhere rain couldn't reach but a couple of inches of snow could?

Check your gasket around the BIG side windows, the gasket shrinks with age, so water(rain) gets in and goes to the lowest point(front floor boards)

My sons Ranger had the same problem. Top corner of front windshield also. Had the window taken out this weekend and the window place removed some rust, put an rust inhibitor where the rust was. Re primed and painted it prior to putting the window back in. Not bad for 90$
