What tranny to switch to

What is needed for a Fm146 or M5od swap

ok well here is my perdicament my a4ld is toast in my 87 bronco II with the 2.9. now i want to go manual ive read that the fm146 and the m5od will both work and i should be able to keep both drive shafts the same due to the trannies being the same length is this correct?? also what all will i need to do this swap i need to knw the whole shit and cabootle thanks

Well, it should be a easy choice. If you are going to swap in a manual trans, may as well install the best that will fit. M5OD.

same length ok so my transwer case the bw1350 will bolt on no problem as well as well i figure i need the clutch and brake pedal assembly the junk on the firewall aka slave cylinder and such all shifter and linkage. is there anything else i will need will i need the shifter boots and such due to i have the manual shift transfer case right now but with the automatic shifter??
