Windshield wipers not working

My BII and I are not getting along with each other this week...Today in the middle of a rain storm, my windshield wipers quit working.....any suggestions?

do they work at all if not check to see if you have pwr to the motor

do you hear any clicking when you try to switch modes for the wipers? do you have power to the wiper motor?

I had the same problem with my 84. I started by cleaning the ground on the wiper motor on the firewall real good and made sure it was grounded properly. this fixed it 100%. it's in a pretty vulnerable spot and rusts pretty easy, so just take a wire brush to the surfaces and use a battery terminal brush to clean the ground wire connector and this should fix your problem. I found they would always stop when i needed them the most or if there was some sort of load on it. i ended up replacing the ground wire too.

Thanks for the advice...its pouring rain now, so I will try that when it clears up!
