    F my life....

Last time I had an issue like this, all I did was get a drift and a BFH. Hit the spider pin with all you got and it will break the bolt. then you can remove the spider pin, axles... and then the carrier to gain access to the bolt.

    Explorer Mileage

Good timing on this post... just did a mileage reading on mine after my gear swap. Test 1: with 35's, A4LD and 3.73 gears best possible on a long hiway run was 13.9mpg Test 2: same setup except with 4.88 gears.. best possible was 17.4 on a long hiway run. Sure wish I get by the 20mpg wall.

    I got my locker!!!!!!!

And that reason alone is what's keeping me from doing a locker in the front of my explorer. I have one in the rear... but not in the front. Nobody.... and I mean NOBODY up here likes to run lockers. Kinda leaves me out in the swamp without a set of pontoons! :icon_twisted:

    Flipped bii pictures

Yanno, I would like to say that it will buff out... but I believe we're beyond a power buffer here. Nice to see everyone is still alive and well though.

Is this BAD advice about oil pumps?

Letting the engine soak in solvents (of some form) will most likely break down MOST of the sludge. Like I said, MOST. As was said in an earlier reply, do not... DO NOT run the engine with the solvent in the pan. The solvent will only dissolve sludge in areas where it can flow... so anything past...

    exploder performance

LMAO!!! Kinda like military intelligence. The two words just shouldn't be allowed to co-exist. :icon_rofl: Honestly though, if you want any performance from an Explorer... an engine swap is the only way. If you put a stroked 302... or even better a stroked 351, THEn you're talking performance...

    camber problems

Give it some time. The springs will settle in a take a "set" a little lower than they are rite now. I would say about a month... depending on how hard and where you drive.

    camber problems

Tire/wheel selection will have an effect on the alignment of your truck. I'll explain... If you have your truck set up (aligned) with "stock" tires and wheels then change over to a wheel with a different offset, it will adversely effect the final settings. An aftermarket wheel with an offset...

    Front End Noise

On a different idea here, maybe you have a broken motor mount and the cooling fan is rubbing on the shroud.

    tt 2.9l idea

As tight as it may seem, there's lots of room under the hood of an RBV with a 302 (when done properly). Your only limit will be your imagination.

    tt 2.9l idea

One other area that's going to be a problem will be the head bolts... or the LACK of. The 2.6, 2.8, 2.9 and 4.0 all have just enough head bolts to seal things in "factory" trim. If you start pushing any more than 4 to 5 psi, your gonna... and I mean GONNA have head sealing issues. Head studs...
