Sooooo do i remove the 95 4.0 egr stuff n cap ends/ block ports??
personally id rather not have the egr(less stuff to go out/fail)

or leave it all attached but not hooked up???( engine my run like crap) cuz i dont want that.

i wouldnt mind keeping the EGR if i could get it working properly, but this time i got a mangled harness from the 95 and i know it wont plug into my 91ex/89b2 4.0 harness
so i plan on transferring my harness from my 91 4.0 motor (rod threw the block) to the 95 but obviously i don't have the EGR wiring on my 91/89 4.0 harness

i know jack squat about egr.

so anything is more then i know now.

headin out to the garage to scratch my head.

If I understand this correctly (and I'm not sure I do) the non-EGR 91 engine in your B2 threw a rod. You have access to a 95 engine with EGR, but you aren't sure what to do about the EGR. Correct?

Just pull both engine out and set them next to each other. Swap everything. Sensors, coil pack, manifolds (intake and exhaust), and make sure that you check the lower intake for metal debris. If you see ANY little pieces of metal, go get a new intake. And I mean ANY AT ALL. Catastrophic engine failure like that tends to throw debris back into the intake which tends to cause catastrophic engine failure if the intake is reused.

Yes you nailed it exactly
And Thank you For the pointers
I am in the process of swapping out components from the 91 to the 95 n a couple things got me so far n one I kinda figured out
First is some kind of crank position sensor on the 95 4.0 where the distributed would normally fit on a 2.9

Here is the 91 4.0 it just has a plate covering up that hole

Let me know what I should do I'm guessing remove it n cap it but idk??

That's the cam syncro drive unit. It's a camshaft position sensor. Just leave it in there, it won't cause any problems.

Alright thanks the other one I had was to do with the cone style air intake with the mass airflow sensor but I think I figured it out
They hid the old unit behind the plastic cone and attached a plug to it
But I should be able to work it out.
Hopin to have this thing ready to slip in Tom after work buly the time I call it a night
