so im sitting at home when my buddy robert calls.

robert-"dude plz tell me that your exploder isnt parted yet"
me-"uhh no y?"
robert-"it looks like a mother****ing oil bomb went off under the hood of mine!"
-me "ok were you at? what happend? was it knocking? dummy lights? how was your oil pressure?"

robert-my check oil light came on, i pulled over and noticed my oil pressure gauge was on L, just the normal ticking since i bought it"

me- ok...im on my way

well i get there and shure enough it looks like a oil bomb went off. i grab a flash light and look just about everywere. i cant fine any holes. it has a motorcraft oil filter (i looked to see if it had a fram) the motor is hard to turn over by hand. what does everyone think?

its a 92 exploder sport 4.0 a4ld...

get some engine degreaser and start cleaning it up. did you pull the oil filter adapter off the block? theres an o-ring under there too. is the oil on one certain side or is it all over?

Is that an easy thing to do? I believe I might have a tiny leak there. Do you have to get into the oil pan to replace oil pump? Sorry, don't about the thread hijack

for the oil pump?? yeah, you have to pull the pan. even if there was a problem with your oil pump though, it wound not show as an external leak.

to pull the oil filter adapter, you simply unbolt the one bolt through the middle of the adapter. there's an o-ring under there as well.

i didnt pull the oil filter adapter. the oil is all over. it looks like someone took a bucket of oil and dumpd it all over the motor. there isnt a clean spot under the hood. everything has oil on it:shok:

Darn things must be dropping like flies over there.

BTW, the pistol in your avatar is on half cock or set down between chambers, not too scary.:D

i noticed that about my avatar.:icon_rofl:

it seems since my buddy got his exploder and i got mine his takes a dump, then mine does it as well. my oil pressure gauge went to L. it didnt make any noise so i thought it was the gauge. checked the oil and it was good. as soon as it got warm it knocked real bad, the noise was real loud by the oil pan.
