are you sure? a bronco 2 isnt a jeep, so i dont see why they'd write about it. they must've sold the bronco 2, saved up their allowance and then bought a jeep.

Here it is. Nothing ground-breaking, but it's nice to see our old work horses getting some attention. Let me know if you's can't read it, and I'll type it out.

Also, note the source.:D

Edit: Made that first page easier to read.

Where can I get one of those mags?
4 wheel parts, if you buy enough shit they send 'em to you for free.

If you don't have a 4 wheel parts around you PM me and I'll get one out to you.

Edit: There is a 4 wheel parts in Tampa and one in Orlando too, IDK if either of those are close to you or not.

Very cool, but does that first picture of the BII have rear hubs and nothing up front?

Nope, they are just hub caps on the back, and it's hard to see but the fronts have manual locking hubs.

oh, i see. i thought you meant it was a pertersens 4 wheel and offroad magazine.
...i didnt even know 4 wheel parts had a mag
my comment still stands though, pertersens would never do an article on anything other than a jeep

You must not be reading it much then... They had an article about how to buy a Ranger just like two months ago. Again, nothing really groundbreaking, but the fact it was there hopefully is some indication they might be finally warming up to the RBV as a worthy offroad contender. Article was much better written than the few past articles I've seen (no glaring inaccuracies anyway). Then in the very next issue they showed a red std-cab Ranger that I think was one of the editor's own trucks (had a SAS with a little D30). They showed it flopped on it's side IIRC.

As for all the Jeep stuff... I don't know if it's the same where you guys are, but any & every time I go out wheeling pretty much anywhere, it's 99% Jeeps around me. Once in awhile I'll see like an old Toyota pickup or IH Scout or something, but it's not often. It only makes sense that the magazines would have more stuff catering to Jeeps than other makes.

BTW, some years back TRS-2 (Jim's truck) was featured as a build-up for like 4 issues straight in a row (or was it 6 issues?) in that 4 Wheel Parts Adventures thing. I quit getting it sometime after that though since I stopped buying stuff at 4 Wheel Parts so it was cool to see this posted here.

You're right, I don't. I usually just thumb through it and occasionally an article or two catches my eye. I'll have to see if I can't find the article about the ranger, if I can I'll post it too

Edit: I only have back to November 2010 and it wasn't in any of those.

We see everything up here, lots of Jeeps and Toyotas, Fords, Chebbys, IH, Suzukis, even saw a SAS Geo tracker once. It's awesome going out wheeling and seeing 40+ Early Broncos.

I think the red Ranger is Ali Mansour's, I may have the issue kicking around here somewhere.

The article says Ali Mansour's - they also just did a update on danger ranger and that it is still running out east some place.

4wheel parts refers to bronco2corral.com for its info. I just wish they would have referenced some of the b2's on here and on explorerforums.com

Pretty cool article. makes 4 magizine articles on B2's in the last year

Good article

I have a problem with the first picture and caption. The sport, or XLS, was made through the '88 model year. I have a two wheel drive version, with running horse graphics on the sides. It also has the ground effects kit in place. I have the build sheets and it lists it as a XLS Sport. Most also came with a front brush guard and Marshal driving lights mounted in the guard, plus a rear tube bumper. The lights and decals came from a Mustang GT. I found a '88 at the JY with a complete ground effects kit and the XLS decals. The ground effects kit is resting in my shop, until another comes along that could use it. It is amazing how many items appear on different vehicles. Just thought I would mention this.
