have an 87 b2, new radaitor and hoses, new 180 degree thermostat, and its definatly not overheating. well temperature dropped, and it takes forever to get warm air, and when it finally warms up, i can feel the temp change when the cold water starts circulating. what thermostat should i be running?

I suggest you put a 193 degree T-stat in it and see if the fan clutch is stuck engaged.

Yep change back to a 190 - 200 thermostat. Running a 180 thermostat will keep the engine cooler and allow better power. But a hotter thermostat is what was put in by factory.

How long does the truck take to warm up? are you positive you got all of the air out of the system?

ok, im a dumbshit, thought they ran a 180 deg thermostat. worked great before i replaced the radaitor, and im syre i goy all the air out. clutch is working and all. ill try a new thermostat of the PROPER heat range
