Did A Compression Test, The Results

outta curiosity i did a compression test on my 2.9L and found that most cylinders are around 135 psi...good bad? cant find any info on it..

not failing, but not the best.

a good healthy engine usually puts out between 135-175psi.

you should have nothing to worry about. how many puffs are you cranking for? and the throttle should be at WOT

haha acouple puffs maybe 2? i didnt hold the throttle at WOT tho...

would that make a huge difference?

Usually do about four compression strokes on that cylinder, so basically when the needle jumps four times, and again WOT. Its not to bad, at least none were extremely low. So hopefully no headgasket leaks.

you need to do at least 4 puffs, i do 5 at WOT. and yes it makes a big difference

is that a joke? you disable the fuel system if you can.

you hold at WOT because it raises the compression and shows the true readings.

crap then my readings should be alot higher then....maybe ill try the easy to get cylinders and since all my cylinders are close i should be able to guesstimate from there alittle...

looked in haynes they said 101 is bad and since im around 135-140 (without WOT) i think i have a good engine...

Disable the fuel system? I like to just set my lit lighter by the plug hole and crank away. Makes pretty fire!
