I saw a photo on google a long time ago with this done, and my desire to do it to my 84 has been rekindled by the installation of one in my friends camero :no2:

Anyway it looks like it can be done just want to know if anyone has done it.

How much would you have to cut above and below the single mount? From pictures it looks like it would be REAL tight between the top of the heater controls and the underside of the dash pad.

I know but I'm a kenwood fanatic when it comes to decks and there fold out lacks a lot, and leaves me desiring more. I may want to research in to other brands, any suggestions, I want it all HD radio, nav, ipod, dvd, bluetooth, remote, external mic, etc etc with easy of operation and as many settings as possible, preferably a 5-13 band manual eq built in.

Ahh your new, that link is in my signature, and its a website to show off ones cars and the mods they have done to ones cars. If you look at my signature you realise "CarDomain" is bolded for a html link.

It should fit in a 93 with out any mods, just a install kit.

I looked into doing it to my 1st gen... it was gonna be WAY to much work. it would fit, but a lot of modding would be needed.

Same thing i came across with mine, if i ever get really good with fiberglass and molding it i will try it out on the spare bezel i have one day. Another possible issue is the depth clearance of the double din. Which could be solved by putting thr a/c controls above the radio. Still to much work.
