I am in need of 4 exhaust head bolts and nuts for my 1988 Bronco II. It is a 2.9L. I live in Atlantic Beach< Fl. I can not find any anywhere. I would rather not et them from a junk yard. Any ideas? Can I use zinc coated bolts?

Check with a local muffler shop they will have them.
Stainless steel is better but how often will you need to remove them?

Never put stainless header/ manifold bolts in cast iron heads!

I even anti-seized mine, I now have to put new heads on my truck. Every single bolt is galded and seized, and break off with little effort when tried to remove them.

That was a $50 set of Stage8 locking header bolts...

Have you tried a Ford dealer parts dept. that will take the time to investigate other cross reference parts .Or find a bolt company that will make a complete set for you. Also you can make your own by buying bolts longer than you need, like a 6 inch bolt with short theads.Cut them off and re cut new theads to size

Find a good fastener shop in the yellow pages. We have several in my area that deal with ONLY hardware. Take one of the old ones with you. (you'll need the thread pitch, sizes, all that jazz) and ask for a good high grade bolt. This is how we did ours back when I replaced the cracked heads.

Try Jegs. I believe you can get them from there. Just use lots of anti-seize.
