So, from what I read, almost the entire front clip of the 1990 Ford Bronco II will swap with the 1991 Ford Explorer. Also, it appears that the front clip of a 1991 Ford Explorer will swap with a 1991 Mazda Navajo. So, is it safe to assume that one could put the front clip of a 1991 Mazda Navajo on a 1990 Ford Bronco II? Would it just be a grille and bumper swap, or more involved? The body lines make it look that simple.

Before anyone asks why, just to be different I guess.

Thanks in advance!

I think you need to take a tape measure to the body shadow lines before you believe everything on the net. But with enough time and money anything can be done.

From what I read from your link everything in between the fenders bolt on. AFAIK That isn't the front clip. The clip includes fenders. That is what I based my answer on. I own both 85, 89 b-II's and a 91 explorer, that's why I knew they wouldn't exchange without bodywork, tho they may bolt on. I don't know the navajo so don't have any input there. A lot of people have done body mods on a lot of different vehicles for decades. If that is what you are doing, make sure to start a thread and post a lot of pics. I'm not into that type of mod so can't help out more, sorry.
Good luck,

Richard

I think we have a mis-communication as to what exactly a "front clip" is... (alwaysFlOoReD knows what a front clip is.)

If you just mean the bumper, lights, etc (not sheet metal) then yes its all just bolt on.

That link points to a question asked by mjonesjr who is a moderator at this site if you need to ask him about what he found out.

I looked at the first and last two pages of RacinNDrummin's thread, and I didn't see the navajo clip on the b-II. What page is a pic of the swap?
Thanks,

Richard

and the fact that in that link the poster was calling it a front clip too. A front clip is everything from and including the fenders forward.
