Get the axle code off the door and go to the tech library. Should be the easiest for ya.

If for some reason the sticker isn't there or you suspect the gears have been changed, you can jack up the rear and turn a wheel 1 rotation. Count how many times the driveshaft goes around. It helps to make a mark on the DS so it's easier to count.

Good luck

Unfortunate to see a gen1 expo go bye bye, but I have 3.27's (l/s... Go figure?) and they are atrocious. It makes my 4.0 feel like the 2.8 from my old b2.

On the door tag, I believe when you're looking at it (right side up) it's towards the bottom-leftish of the tag. It says Axle and there's a two digit code directly underneath. That's the code you need.

my axel code is d4 so the gear ratio is 3.73 . is this a good ratio for mudding and 4x4ing? my truck isnt a daily driver so would a different set of gears be something to think about?

it depends on what size tires you plan on running.

You'll probably want lower gears in the future. 4.56s or 4.88s eventually.
