As the title says, this is Jspafford's old truck, that I bought from him Sept 2014. It wasn't that rough to begin with, but I wanted to keep this thing going for another 25 years.
Then:

And then I started gutting the interior:

And working on the body:

And then putting on the new panels:

And started sanding:

Next Sunday I'll be finishing the sanding, and hopefully primer it.
Paint will be the original dark blue.

Looks great.
I'm envious of your body work skills, I'm learning as I go. getting better but still a ways to go.

Thanks, I'm learning as I go too. A friend of mine is showing me how. This is my first body work project. Thankfully I have a relatively solid BII to work with.

As promised, a lot more sanding:

And Memorial Day Monday was able to get it taped and masked and started primer. But we ran out of self etching primer, so next Saturday I should be able to finish that and see where I lie with any more body work.

Unfortunately, yesterday was rained out completely. Next week, more progress!

As promised primer is complete:

The taping at the bottom is going to be stone guard, for a little texture and protection, and also to cover up my screw ups

And now paint!
Slowly putting the interior goodies back together. On a side note, anyone know of a place to get the rear interior panels for a BII? I didn't see anything on LMC Trucks' website.

Sure looks purty in the sun

Next up is wet sand and buff

It's great to see another Bronco II being saved.

Thanks guys. Finished up the wet sanding today, I'll post a pic later. Next up is polish and reassembly. Its a lot of work, but I think its worth it to attempt to save these classics.

I left my digital camera in the truck, which is an hour away, so I'll post a slightly out of order cell phone pic

Ok back to the timeline

When wet sanding, be mindful of high spots in the body so don't screw up and burn through the paint
...like I did

Tomorrow will be the final day polishing, hanging the mirrors, and badging.
Then the exterior will be "done".
