Did it all myself but did take 2 years to get it all done, fixed all rust by cutting and welding in new pieces where needed, frame, axles, all steel pieces cleaned rust free then coated with por15 used 2 gallons, all new brake system with nicopp brake lines, stainless steel fuel line, used a asphalt undercoating on all panels on the body on the inside of them, and on the under floor, completely took out all interior and fixed all that was needed, used the old foam board that was for old headliner cleaned it and fixed it and recovered it with fleece, replaced the rear quarters and pass door plus both front fenders, used the eastwood interstate black single stage urethane 4 coats, over sandable primer over epoxy primer, then did the wet sand and buff all body panels, new wheels, new 235/75r15 tires, the engine is bored .040 over and is the original 2.8 v-6 with duraspark conversion, with a 302 carb on it, I use this to pull a camper with , the camper weighs approx 1,500 pounds and does just fine, it has a 4 speed manual transmission and pulls the camper up hill in 4th gear just fine, used raptor liner on the bottom of the body to prevent rock chips, i wanted to keep it close to looking original as possible with a few upgrades. Bought it for 50.00 in 2006 it did not run and only had 4th gear.. Last upgrade was the tail lights.
