Ford 7.5 Lincoln locked is a MAJOR no-no. I wouldnt even do that on 235/75/15's...

35s is definitely pushing it on the 28 spline shafts with it under a BII.

I don't see an issue with the lincoln-lock itself (keep the cross-pin free so you can still get to the c-clips), however I wouldn't recommend running anything bigger than 33s on it (31s if you were to run it long-term).

Being offroad only it's not as if you have to worry bout roadside repairs. However as mentioned the 7.5 is weak.

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic

That's without it welded. Once you weld it, it's gonna see a ton more stress on the shafts every time you turn and it's dragging those big tires against the asphalt.

If you were wondering about onroad characteristics if you do decide to LL the rear on a different axle, I ran across an article of some gents who spooled the rear and drove it for a while. According to them, it actually didn't act too weird as a daily driver. I personally have never done it, but if that was ever a factor, might be something to consider.

If anyone else read the article, I think it was in Pete's 4WD. Can't remember.

EDIT: Looking back at what I just typed, I realize how off the wall this post was. Oh well *shrug*
