I am trying to read up on things, and get confused easily... :icon_confused:

I have a 1990 B2 4x4 auto, 6" skyjacker lift, and 33x12.5 (I think!) tires that are nearing the end of their life.

I am reading that people want the d35 and not the d28... What does that mean? How can I tell what I got? Are my 33" tires too big and should I look for something smaller? Can someone educate me on what I should be looking for/doing? Thanks!!!! :icon_bounceblue:

The Dana 35 has a larger ring gear and axle shafts.

Take a look at http://www.broncoiicorral.com/library/bronco_ii_dana_28_dana_35.shtml

Another advantage is that you can't find gears for the Dana 28 anymore.

It's an easy swap. If anything you'll have to shorten your driveshaft. If you have stock gears now, you should be able to find a Dana 35 with the same gear ratio you have now.
