ha-ha. I've called mine the b2-bomber for years too.

it's even my screename on many other forums. i'm even stretching the rear axle back too. I am planning on using the sheet metal from front fenders to make the rear arches look more factory

There is so much bump travel that there will prob be no more room for body lines...

Im really stoked to get this thing done. Im mounting the rear bumps now, I should have some pictures soon. Than its gas tank mount and tub time!

Mounted bump stops, did a ton of welding and started remaking the body. I also through some over lays on the frame where I notched it.

I absolutely love that MC cantilever design. Definitely stealing that for my future build

I wasn't worried about body lines, I want a nice factory looking lip going around the fender arch. the front fenders have a larger opening than the rears, and by using the arches from it, I will be able to clear my tires without molesting the arch lip.

Here is a non-modified front fender sitting on a 35" tire (notice that at full-stuff the opening will accept a tire about an inch taller than that on either side?)

it just seemed so much easier than to body work my own lip around the arch, that wouldn't look any better than a factory lip anyway

Isn't the top of that tire guna eat that fender when it flexes?

I do love the factory lip tho!

You guys are welcome to steel all the ideas that you want.

And thanks again for the compliments. I should be starting the tub tonight. :)

no, that pic is just of the un-bolted fender sitting on top of a 35" tire. just to illustrate that the arch is bigger than the tire.

it would only "eat the fender" if I cut the quarter/set the arch too low.

that picture was not at full-stuff imagine doing exactly what you already did, but instead using the sheet metal from a front fender, in order to use its arch/retain a factory lip. without having to fab your own lip for it.

How does she wheel? Is it as good as you expected? I bet she rides a lot smoother than stock huh?
