You might want to use a toyota tcase, they have like 6.5 ratio...though I don't think they make 7.17 gears for the 8.8 and 35 :taunt:

I wish you luck on your new job man, keep in touch.....I really want them 36's on the B2 with some trimmed fenders but I'm gonna have to do something about my transmission first. It seems like I'm never gonna get 'er going again and they tell me it could be anytime between now and August before I get a decision on my settlement.....:dntknw: :c-n: :temper:

Allen, its looking like the third week of january is when I will be home. Planning to switch companies then as this one I'm with now I get very little home time. The new company will have me home most, if not every weekend. Drivers with this one report you are home 46 of the 52 weekends a year. And its more pay then I'm getting now :yahoo: Bring them tires and B2 over (even if its on a trailer) We'll get em mounted. I might even swing over there for that get together we been talking about and do em then, but it'll be a little later then originally planned. Damn jobs, they get in the way of everything, fishing, fabbing, wheeling, G2G's...:annoyed:

Hey man, hopefully I can have my trans done by then, the parts I tore up are actually replaceable without having to replace the whole shaft! Dad is talking about a complete overhaul and he is a master of manual transmissions. I'll just have to see what happens.....Good luck man, I know how hard it is to be away all the time,we need to get the TB crew back together!!! Be careful out there my friend!!!!

Trannys are $60 a pop up here. I'd just spend an hour or two pulling a new one. And there's an M5OD too.

I'm going to do the 4.0 clutch setup on my 2.8 but I assume the M5od will not bolt up to a 2.8...how much would you charge me to pull an FM145 provided you could find one? I need to get my baby back on the road, but funds are tight......down here trans are running 300 and up..:shok:

If you want to come up, I'll be happy to help ya. And yes an M5OD will fit. 2.8, 2.9, and 4.0s all share the same bellhousing.

I appreciate that man, I just don't know when I will be able to come up....

I'd love to go with an M5od!! What would I have to change, anything?
