I have a 89 B2. is this a 7.5 rear end? while changing Drive shaft I thought I would change pinion seal. Fluid pours out when I removed nut and flange to check splines. just need to know which part to get at parts store.

Anyone change pinion seal b4? any write up or steps?

While I have Drive shaft out to replace and changing pinion seal, is there any other PM I should do?

If it was dry and fluid poured out when you removed the flange it sounds like the seal was still good.

Yeah, you have a 7.5 rear, or at least you should. Changing them isn't hard. Knock the edges out with a chisel, pop it out, and then find a socket as big around as the new seal, and knock it in.

You removed the pinion nut, you just removed the preload from the pinion assembly.

That's no big deal, just put it back on till everything snugs up and them give it a little more(1/8th turn or so) and your good to go.
