so if ya wana go wheeling in one week and you other off road truck isnt runnin do what i did, find something you can use all the parts you have laying in yard lol.. i had a 6" lift kit for one and bigger rears and tires all around yard...

ended up gettin this 88 bronco II for $231, needed battery and hasnt been started since 2004 lol... i was suprised when the ol 2.9 fired, and afetr clean mice nest out the air box she was cheeeeerrry.

anyway heres some pics of it,

front with 6" kit and used dana 35 with 513s

"custom" bronco 2 leafs with sum cut cherokee leafs and 2" block and 8.8 welded rear with 513 gears

buh-bye junk dana 28 front and 7.5 rear

running 33x10.50x15 boggers and soft 8 wheels

You need the big Skyjacker pitman arm on there, that thing's probably not gonna even be drivable like that

what the heck do you have d-rings welded to your rear diff for?

i KNOW what d-rings are for but have never seen someone weld them to a diff tube.

the pitman arm will be in tomorrow already ordered,
and like i said i bought this for this wheeling trip cuz i dont need to ruin the mud bog ranger.

and for the d rings, they are for strappin to the trailer

when strapping a vechicle to a trailer shouldnt you attach to the frame with the lines running across each other. if you just run to the diffs you are allowing the body sway to cause the trailer to move. Here in oregon if the load isnt secured properly its a huge fine.

as long as it is anchored to the trailer some sort of way they cannot really say much because even if it is secure by the axles it is still a structural point of the chassis

even ask a towing company most of the time they hook from the axles especially if it is a pickup or suv with solid axles

yea i was gona say, everyone i know attaches around rears on a truck, on a car its a lil different, but hey this thread isnt about how to secure a vehicle to a trailer lol

ya towing companies will strap it down through the rims now, alot of cars now have either airride or some sort of self leveling system built into them and if they strap it by the frame when its at full height it could have a bad system and the car will lower itself and then be loose causing more problems. i have seen it happen when i worked for jag when the new xjs came out after 30 they would self lower a inch or 2 and one came loose on the truck on the freeway, we will just say it was totalled
