I have an '86 Bronco II 5 speed 4x4 with a 2" body lift and 6" suspension lift 38.5" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. We took out the old 2.9L and put in a 4.0L V6 from a '92 Ranger. Now to my question: I am swapping the original 7.5" rear end with an 8.8" from a '91 Explorer. I have made my own spring perches out of 2.5" square stock and them angled and welded in place. Now I need to hook up the drive shaft. The drive shaft was lengthened to make up for the lift I put on it and of course the u-joints worked like they should with the 7.5" rear end. I need a bastard joint to fit the 8.8 rear end and the yoke on the stock drive shaft of a bronco II/ranger. I Any idears would be appreciated.
P.S. Ive never had to do this so simple terms would be awesome.
