I have an 1985 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer Edition w/ manual trans and 4x4. My speedometer needle is bouncing quite a bit while driving. I took out the original speedometer cable hoping to replace it but I can't seem to find the right part (OEM or aftermarket). My original cable has the ford part number of E37A9A820DA. This one measures around 64". All the speedometer cables with the correct ends are only 55" long. Has anyone has any luck replacing the speedometer cable? Or is there anything else I can do to repair the original cable to stop the needle bouncing so much?
