like i said before i'll most likely run the 2.9 till it falls apart. then build the 5.0 i have. when that time comes i'll have a little more money tp play with.... maybe. i hope lol
Same plan I had, good plan. :icon_idea:

302 is very worth it BTW. :icon_thumby:

put it on a table to take it apart just to see the insides but i dont have a socket/wrench to fit that big ass nut.

They don't make 5.29's for ranger axles, they make 5.29s for the toyota axles, but 5.13's should be good

doesnt look like a whole lot but it sure felt like a lot.

got to drive it finally and it drives pretty nice. shocks in the front end are bottomed out and its extra bouncy. brakes need to be looked at. but over all it was a decent ride. didnt check to see if the hubs locked in or not i'll do that later. i was just excited to get it moving.
i also too off the spare tire carrier.

so i found out today that the door locks take a different key than the ignition. i dont have a key for the door locks. and i was not having any luck with the coat hanger so i got creative.

there is a hole in my floor just in front of my seat mounts on the driver side. so i got a crowbar, stuck it in the hole, got a buddy to direct me and used it to roll down my window.

today i broke into my Bronco with a crowbar through the floor.

my suggestion, get locks that you have a key for!

honestly i'll probably just disconnect the lock rod and never lock the doors again. not planning on keeping anything valuable in it anyways. especially since i'll be running my "half" doors and "half" hatch 9 months out of the year. haha

so i've settle on some BFG M/T's.
now i REALLY want to run 35's and at only 5 bucks more per tire than the 33's i cant think of a reason to not get em. plus im not scared of some trimming. so thats not a problem.

i looked through the post your lift/tire size thread and seen guys running 33's and 34's with 3 inches of lift and with no or very little trimming. I'd like to run the smallest lift possible with these. so i believe a 3-4 inch will do the job.

best price i've found so far...

so still no updates. trying to get tires for my DD but sat down and straightened out the plans for the bronco. here's what i came up with and it'll pretty much be done more or less in the this order.

Fix the floor
Wire the fan correctly
replace the leaky valve cover gasket
service the brakes- check pads, rotors, shoes, drums, and i know i have one leaky wheel cylinder that needs to be replaced.
4-6" lift
shocks
swap the CB out of my dakota and mount the 102" steel whip with a tie down
Mount the 6" KC's i have
craggier soft 8's 15x8
35 inch M/T's
4.88 gears
manual hubs
replace the interior plastic panels with sheet metal
half doors
half hatch
bed liner floor
Paint- desert tan and black 2 tone carried to the interior
Seats- not sure how i want the seats. stuck between water proof "racing" buckets, or leather explorer seats. and what about the back seat? still playing with ideas on this one.
bumpers- front and rear with 2" receiver hitches.
sliders
storage- big "ammo cans" in the rear and one to fit between the front buckets as a center console. roof rack maybe?

at this point i'd call it "done" but some more ideas that i think would be awesome but wouldnt necessarily bother me if i didnt get to it.

roll cage
5.0 swap
Full sized axles geared low but not so ridiculous i cant do 65 at a decent rpm.
doubler
sheet metal dash
chop top- removable hardtop

overall goal is when the truck is "finished" it will be able to be daily driven if my current Daily goes down.
