Well i hauled ass home from work today to put the shackles on and got er done, and didnt like them, just made it feel wierd to drive. so i took them out and went to my buddies to pick up some 2" blocks he had, and i just finished putting those in. no axlewrap or vibes so thats a good thing. im gonna give her a good bath tomorrow, and repaint the wheels. and im gonna post up some pics

Aight, got her cleaned up and took a few pics. definately time for some bigger tires. im gonna trim the flat part off the fenderwells and 1" body with some 33's of some sorts, i like the ltb's but thinking maybe the general grabbers or km2's. looks like the front is low in these pics but its the way the driveway is. she sits perfectly level.

I did find out my driveshaft is too short in the rear. Ive been getting some vibes when shifting gears and letting out the clutch, but mostly until the clutch is engaged then the vibration stopped. i hope its from the driveshaft, its about 1/4" from fully extended. so im gonna use a 1354 yoke on the rear with a expo front shaft

and my positive camber. i ordered the adjustable bushings today, so im going to pic them up first thing in the a.m.

General grabbers! Red letters out! lol, the prez of our jeep club did some of the testing for the new general grabbers and he just loves them... for daily driving, trails, and rocks.. they are alright in the mud. the km2's would treat you better in the mud

Red side out is the way to go with the grabbers. I'm wanting something that will last longer then a standard mud tire, and wouldn't mind something a little quieter. Plus the grabbers are pretty affordable. Although I got about 45k out of the xterrains I had on the ranger, they were pretty quiet too. Definately gettn some new rims as well. I found out one of my rims are bent so that helped me out when I was tryn 2 convince the woman of the house to let me get some new ones. What did u do with your rear shaft when u lifted yours? Dunno what the shaft I have now is out of. Came with the b2 and I put it in when the gkn shit on me. Also my ebrake cable holds up flex, what everybody do about that?

is his little non biased review of the tires..

disclaimer: do not get worried about the guys/gals on msj, we are one big dysfunctional family and we like to bust balls! lol

"Tell him if he wants a tire that will do ok in mud.. awesome street manners and grips rocks and sand like it's nobody's mussiness.. then he won't be disappointed!" that's his statement!

Man, you should really find two of those center caps for the front and cut out a hole for your hubs... that would look bitchin...

Well my camber bushings come in today, but i noticed they were 3 1/4* pos and 2 3/4* neg adjustable. i hope i will be able to get the camber right with those. that would suck for them not to work. well gonna try to install them tomorrow, and take pics of the begining of the taillight boxes. i bent the outside with a bending brake, and welded on the back part that faces the body. the bend is dam close to the factory bend of the lights. i cut the piece at the top of the light box and bent the top in as well. looks like factory. gonna look really good, the guy thats helping me really knows his shit, and it didnt take but about 20 minutes to get it rougly in shape and tacked together. still trying to figure out how to mount them. so now i gotta figure out how to get the seperate brake and turn to work off of the stock b2 wiring. havent gotten the lights yet, because if i cant run seperate brake and turn lights im gonna have to do a single brake/turn/running lamp and a reverse lamp. if i end up going the latter will i have to run a different relay for the led's not to flash like they are on crack?

Use a Buss Electronic Flasher, not the little tin type, I used them when I was Driving big truck, they will keep the same blinking speed, no matter how many lights are hooked to it

How much for a set of the boxes with out mounting tabs, I need a set to weld in to my ranger bed.

its commin...gotta do something about the driveshaft, handleing all that this week, and hopefully get done with my boxes and get that wired up then heres the list. since my tires are almost new i can wait a little wire till i get some new ones, but they are comming too.

1)sliders
2)pull out 2.8 and do full gasket kit, and clean engine bay. prolly cam and p&p while im at it. 2.8 seems to be plenty for me with the new trans.
3)rebuild the fm146 in my rig now
4)d35 & 8.8 swap with 4.88's
5) tires and wheels. who knows i might go with a 2" body, trim the flat part of the fenders and go with 35's

and during all this im going to be making my bumper that will make u guys shit yourself..already got the guy helping me with the light boxes working on a cad design. gotta do something about my exhaust too.

i would swap the 2.8 out for 4.0, but i did a leakdown test and its really good, within 10 psi from the highest to lowest. just leaks a little around the back of the i/m and oil pan. now that work is back on track its hard to find time to do all this stuff lol

it's sometimes hard to justify pulling out a good motor to replace it with something else when you have so much more on your list. personally i'd do the axle swaps before the sliders.. but hey, that's me lol. looking back, i wish i would have done the axles before the motor swap (meaning axles would be first mod after body lift, which is now gone for RC 4 inch suspension)... but... you live, you learn. the 4.0 is awesome! i will say that.. but idk how hard it'd be to do a 2.8 to 4.0 swap. i'm sure you have looked into it. i gotta start designing my rear bumper. and yea i'm doing the flat part of the fender trim to..

so leak the plans for the bumper!

Do you have a link to the jeep coils you used? And how do they do on the street? Did you have to cut a coil out of screw with custom steering?

Gotta be careful with that kinda cash around Macon! Don't flash it around any more or it might end up missing.

I think that's the first time I've seen a first gen with a second gen bumper that didn't have the whole clip swapped. Didn't even know it would fit that way. It does look good though, makes me wish I had the 90 model my dad used to have.
