I have an 85 Bronco II with the manual FM145 transmission. I am planning on swapping in a 4.0 with a M50D-R1 trans. will the new trans bolt and fit properly to my original transfer case or do i need to swap the transfer case as well?

What if my donor vehicle was a 2wd with the M50D-R1. Would that bolt up to my current transfer case?

well technically.... you could go find yourself a longer output shaft and a 4x4 extension housing and make it work... but its probably easier/cheaper to just go find a 4x4 trans.
