On my 2000 explorer, the lights come on automatically when the car thinks it's dark. So, at night, sometimes when i go to the bank or when i go to a parking garage at a mall or something. my radio flickers like you see in the video.

i dont think it is a fuse, they seemed to be ok. i still have the stock cd player and it is def on its last leg, so that may be it. none of the other dash lights do this, just the radio.

any ideas?

No, not creepy mexican pablo kid, loose wire. I'd be checking the one that dims the lights for the radio.

i think i may just assume that it's the radio and get a new one

It is possible that there is a bad solder in the unit itself too. I just like to tell people to check wires before buying expensive parts.
