Ok.. Knowing the BII has a bit of a history for rolling I want to change the wheels at some point on it. I assume explorer axles are wider and put the tires out further but the same could be done with a different offset wheel. My question is, does anyone know off hand of a stock ford wheel that shares the bolt pattern with the BII and has a more favorable offset? Also at the stock hight what is the largest tire that can fit under it without rubbing? Oh and I will have my 2WD donor home on sunday so I can strip it. Then i will be able to get the 4x4 home and get some pictures.. I am excited.. I love new toys.. hehe..

BII's will have a 4.5 x 5 bolt pattern, I believe stock rims's backspacing is 4"....maybe, someone will correct me.

BII's, Rangers, Explorers all have the same bolt pattern

There is a page with all listed vehicles with the same bolt pattern (4.5 x 5)...I think it was on RPS but I cannot find it.

So bottom line. What wheels have a more favorable offset to put the tires further out on the B2?

ALways wondered myself, I did see a stock B2 with wide rims 15x8 or 15x10, with street truck tires I think 255 60 15s, I thought of trying them for street driving, the lower profile tires and wide rims gave it a lower wider stance, at least it looked like it anyway.
