ive heard bad things about explorer transmissions, but no one here seems to want to even go there.......... ive posted my issues in the 4.0L forum, but i dont get any responses..
Now that's an Explorer doing what it was named to do!! :icon_hornsup:Im running the A$LD in my 94 and I havent has any issues with it either. I do have the HD cooling for it though and don't necessarily beat on it. And yes it gets wheeled......HARD
Heat is the number 1 killer of the auto.....
LMAO, Realy? Lol ok man.....Thought this site was here to help people???Personally, I avoid talking about auto trans issues because to go beyond the statement that "The A4LD, in the most technical of terms sucks sweaty, salty monkey balls," there are just too many potential failure points in an automatic transmission for me to even attempt to diagnose one over the internet. I have enough problems doing that in person, not even gonna try it over a forum when I'm not even remotely sure of the other person's skill level, which, if it's high enough to do what I need them to do to make even an educated guess at the problem, they can probably figure it out for themselves.
Plus the best answer is usually to just replace the sucker with a manny anyway.
we do help people, any way we can. in this case. the best help we can give you is to swap it out.:icon_thumby:LMAO, Realy? Lol ok man.....Thought this site was here to help people???
It all makes so much sense now.philosophically speaking if you bolt a FRENCH transmission to a GERMAN engine
the two aren't going to get along...
Oh... didn't I mention that the A4LD's are assembled in FRANCE?
Does that resolve any mysteries for anyone?
