Not sure either, but after that 93 Ranger I won't go near anything with that POS transmission.Idk why people have so many issues with the a4ld.. I've had mine for 10 years with minimal issues.
I kind of wonder if it has anything to do with how the vehicle is used an driven? I know that 93 ranger my cousins beat the crap out of it, my uncle used it on a paper route, and if I remember correctly that transmission case was aluminum, aluminum gets hot and warps, and probably would cause quite a few issues when it warps by putting pressure on internal components and wearing them out, plus the heat.
All I know is after just 1 truck and 2 transmission failures I won't touch another A4LD.
