I have searched the boards and could not find a answer. yesterday I picked up a 90 BII 4x4 with a manual transmission but an electric transfer case. I can push the buttons and none of the lights work (dash lights or the switch lights) but I can hear the clicking behind me. Now if I put it in 4lo and do not press the clutch in all the lights will come on with the 4lo lights blinking. Once I press the clutch in the lights go out. any suggestion on what to look for. I had the dash apart today checking all the bulbs and wiring and everything seems to be good.

Thanks

i really don't know anything about the electric shift cases, but how about looking down under on the tranny and tc to see if all the wires there are hooked up correct, no shorts, etc. just a thought.

I'll climb up under it tomorrow and look. the thing that stumped me was that the lights would come on when I tried to shift into 4lo improperly. so I figured the wiring under the truck was good.

I checked up under the bronco II and everything is good down there. I have keep messing with it and now it will light up about 30% of the time, but only 4x4, not 4lo. it is still doing the same thing in the first post though. Guess I'll have to start tracing some wires once I find the proper wiring diagram.
