89 bronco II, internal regulator
ok, i got all new auto meter gauges, speedo, tach, volt, water temp, trans temp, fuel pressure, fuel level, oil pressure. I took out the old gauge cluster and took the factory gauges out of it, put a piece of aluminum there and put 2 small gauges and the speedo, tach there. well i've been driving to work the last few days while i've been working on my gauges. I dont have the factory or any gauges installed, figured it wouldnt hurt nothing. the problem is that my alt stopped charging, i got it tested and it charges fine, got battery tested also. i put the factory gauges back in so that i could moniter the voltage untill the weekend came. well it seems that it charges fine when the factory gauges is hooked up, soon as i take it out then it stops chargeing. wtf would the gauges have anything to do with the alt chargeing
