My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
apparently autotrader is worthless for an average because 3 a-holes have listed way too high prices for a B2. 1 was $6500, one was $5500, and one was $3995. take those 3 out and most were priced around $1700 for a good running B2 4x4 with high miles. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $500 for a B2 because for the same $1700 you can get 1 hell of a good running nice shape Explorer. plus right now you can buy Full size Broncos for $1700 or less.

told the guy about how much it would be worth by the blue book (even though the for the USA) but i also was talking to a couple guys at work saying 200-300 would be most for what he discribed . the guy with the BII got offended and said not a chance.

I paid $1100 for my 89 last summer. Had to put a water pump in it, clutch kit, now I have to replace the entire break system just to keep it on the road. I haven't even started on the fun stuff yet. This is my third B2 and the most expensive to date. I'm a glutton for punishment and addicted to the B2's.

Rare to find them in San Diego for under $1500 unless they are a real mess but even thats hard to find.

How much is he wanting for it? If it doesn't have ANY engine problems I personally wouldn't sell anything for less than 500 (us).

Personally, if I could find one with a good to decent body and the interior hasn't been wrecked, or more importantly (for me at least) smoked in, I'd pay up to $1000 US, maybe 15 if it already had a 4.0 and D-35, but then again, I REALLY REALLY REALLY want one, so I'm willing to pay a bit more than most people.

The true value of a vehicle really comes down to what you are willing to pay to get it and what the seller is willing to take.

true story, i have yet to see a decent b2 around here for less than $1500. and the fullsize broncos are at least 3-4k depending on year and condition. i dont even wanna start on the eb's 10k or more for a decent one here

Talk about an old thread. My opinions have changed considerably since then. U'll have to pry my B2 out of my cold dead hands now.

Yeah, old thread. Still wouldn't pay more than $500 for one. Haven't paid more than $200 for a running/driving one yet.

I have two Bronco II's.

One is an 89 XLT that I got for $200 off a buddy of mine. Had a dead battery (battery was brand new though) and needed an alternator belt. ($5) Runs and drives fine, 4x4 and everything works, but the body's a bit rough!

My second BII is a 1990 Eddie Bauer, its pretty mint, power everything, 5 spd, everything works, doesn't smoke or drink oil, and I probably wouldn't take less than $1,500 for it if I actually needed/wanted to sell it. I've had people walk up to me and want to buy it off me on the spot. Wouldn't do it though cause' I LOVE this thing! I never plan on selling it unless I have a life and death need for the money! :D

I have to say, I've got two Jeeps, (a 90 cherokee and a 96 Grand Cherokee) and my 90 Bronco II is way more fun, even though the motor is fairly gutless compared to the 4.0 in them! The interior is a lot higher quality and more refined as well!

well around me they go for about $1500, running good and not alot of rust.

I bought mine off a farmer for 480 it needed new tires and a battery. It does burn some oil and the tranny slips and has over heating problems but i only paid him $480 for it so i am happy.
