Well.. Found the gas leak got a couple of spots on tank rusted through. Guess im goin to try to pick up some jb weld today

what i might suggest since ur alreay taking tge tank cut out a acess panel inside under ur carpet so it is easier to replace ur fuel pump cause onec u take the tank out ur not gonna wanna do it again... just a suggestion

^ I agree totally on the access panel. It will make future tank related work SO much easier! I don't know why Ford didn't do it in the first place.

Ya i decided to do it late last nite. Droppd the tank with 12gal. In it. SOB when ahead and cut the access hole did it before made unhooking everything a lot easier. Now just tryin the figured out the best way to get all that gas out of the bad tank

Maybe remove the sender/pump assembly and poor it out? How much is in there? You could siphon large amounts out. If it's sitting on a table or something similar, you can get it to gravity siphon most out.
I new a guy that used a shopvac once I STRONGLY SUGGEST AGAINST THAT.
Electric spark + gas vapor = boom.
