if you don't mind, how much you got into that steering? and i wanna know how heims work on a DD.. i've heard so much negative. guess i could do the same thing but use TRE's..

I dont have a use for a doubler (for now) but think that it would be sick as hell to have on my truck. But transmisions and transfercases are like looking into a human brain to me.

A doubler would be cool to have but not sure how it would be as a DD?
maybe in the future.

all these ppl doing doublers have me wanting to put one into my buddys mazda and if i break my 5.29s in the samurai it'll go back to 4.10s and get a doubler

it just makes more sense you can build a doubler for the same cost as gearing the diffs and keep your strong ring and pinion and get more gearing options. that way you crawl when you want and when if you get into mud you dont just rev up to 5000rpm right away

haha id get way too confused with like 5 shifters.... plus the truck is wayy too short for that even though its the longbody version.

whats the plan if/WHEN you start blowing shafts etc? you have already got the 35ttb to flex pretty well to tear it out now...

Keep 35 shafts stocked up until I can swap to a D44 TTB.

yea doesnt make much sense to put $ into the 35 when you know it isnt sticking around.

i always thought that the dana44 and dana35 ttb was about the same strength shaft wise? i know they are the same u joints, just asking cause when i get around to getting another ranger i wanted to go dana 44ttb but now im considering dana 50 ttb built with dana 60 insides

Full clips and welded caps:thefinger:
**** the clips. 4 clips on each u joint, and 3 u joints on the ttb front end, lets call it 5 including the drive shaft. that makes 20 clips. 20 clips are wayyy to much weight to be on the front end when flying jumps. i like to land on the back bumper and continue in a wheelie.
i thought everyone done that?
