Hmm, didn't mean to get a huge DOF in the pic, but you get the idea.

I'll have to pull it and install without the boot. And the rear will be raised about 3/4" here pretty soon.

Crossmember. I was going to build a complete new one out of 1.5" square tube, but got lazy. Kinda want to get this done so this is what I did.

I'm getting deja-vu reading this. haha

Your crossmember looks familiar:

Now go do some double low burnouts!

I was actually reading your build thread last night after deciding to mod the stock xmember instead of building my own.

BTW, what are ya gonna do with your tires if you find some 37s?

I planned for that to be temporary and build a new one. Almost 4 years later - still rockin it. haha

Seems like it was yesterday I was doing the same thing. It's fun to go back and read through that stuff.

New crossmember installed. And I find that the Explorer sport rear shaft wont work. Need one thats 36.5" static length (center of u-joint to center of u-joint).

Found what I needed. F250 front shaft, and a slip yoke from an Excursion or Expedition (don't remember). Guess now I can shove some of these others in the corner.

I have to say this has been the most inspiring build I have ever read, it took me 5 days of reading when I had the time but I just finished. I'm amazed by the incredible work you did with just that bottom tier welder and pipe bender! A few paychecks from now, I'm gonna buy that welder and bender and other supplies and start getting things done! You are also a perfect poster boy for the TTB! I wheel with jeepers who always hate on it, but I'm gonna show them some pictures of your rig!
