I have no clue as to why it wasn't working before.:icon_confused: I knew this setup came off a running working truck. So it was known to be a good pump.so you finally figured out why it wouldn't work for you?spinning the pump backwards?
Some may say like Ass, and others may say it looks functional. What does your bracket look like?
The pump was off an Econoline 302. Same with the lines.Which pump did you go with? How well did the lines work or did you have to redo the pressure line?
More info on the original pump is that it's a non Serp setup. You need to find the serp setup for the pulley. The stock RBV pulley will not work with the Saginaw pump. Nearly all the ford steering gears are the same in the RBV, F series and e-series, so any of the lines should bolt up if they are for the Saginaw box.The pump was off an Econoline 302. Same with the lines.
Hey hey, there you go!Might get a bunch lazer cut.
Why do you have the res clocked over so far? Clearance issues?
It's no where near done yet. I've got the compressor to mount up still.
The pulley I'm using is one from a 90's E150 serpentine setup. The one from a Dodge Dakota could work it just has one or two more grooves to the pulley. The Cardone pumps are also a reman pump. Just don't know the true application, or if it's a "Replacement" for the ford pump. What pulley's are you guys using? My steering pump is new and loud. I'm sick of these remanned pumps.
huh, I only paid $80 for mine. That's only $30 more than a reman POS plastic pump. The tbird pump was very expensive remanned. Very near the cost of an AGR pump.
