Try going for a 3.0 DOHC if you do it.

Your biggest issue will be finding a 4x4 trans for it.
engine iv found is a 05 3.0

how hard are the trans to get?

why a 3.0 instead of the 4.0?

The only RWD application for the 3.0 DOHC that I am aware of was the Lincoln LS. The LS also used the 5R55 transmission. Worst case scenario, you buy an LS transmission case and get it stuffed with Explorer 4x4 guts.

That's great, and you were correct. But you pretty well ignored forum etiquette in more than a few aspects in the 5 posts you have made.

You posted stuff that is for sale on e-bay in 3 different threads in three different sections. Double and triple postings are highly discouraged here. We also have a separate section for posting items that other people are selling on craigslist or e-bay. None of your three threads managed to land there.

Then you respond to me not by posting in one of your own threads, but by finding a 15 month old post of mine in someone's build thread and putting your reply there.

Slow down, browse around from the main section list for a bit, and figure out the lay of the land and what you are doing. We are generally a forgiving bunch, but you can't go mashing toes right out of the gate.
