UPATE:

I swapped out the old 302 for the one I had. Got it all cleaned up and detailed.

Swapped in a Gen II dash.

Bought new front and rear seats from a salvage yard.

Replaced the doors with good solid doors that have power windows/locks.

Got the motor running and fixed a charging issue.

Bought new door lock actuators.

Sandblasted and sanded, and sanded, and sanded....

Sprayed it with primer and was sanding some more tonight.

I plan to start putting the color down on Sunday.

This is why I haven't been online here much lately.

just found this thread today, looks intrsting, ive thought about a BII before, dad breifly had a early one with a 2.8, i liked that galaxy dash pictured early on in the thread, that would be neat to do along with round headlights to make it look like a early bronco frontend.

It's finally painted. It's still in parts, but they're all painted. I'm really happy with the way it came it. It's nice, straight and smooth. It seems like I spent forever sanding on this thing.

i like the gen 1 look. id find a way to give it round headlights and have the F-O-R-D letters between them, like a early bronco.

Nice Jim, paint came out rally good glad to see it's still a 1st gen. Looks like you've got it but if you ever need help with any thing let me know. Especially over the holidays when I'm off work for shut down. We could use another road trip and besides I owe you one.

Well, I bought a brand new chrome grill and B2 emblems for the fenders. Probably won't do any more work on it until after the holidays.
